 | Dr. Hong Keun (David) Oh, M.D., N.D., Ph.D., began his medical career as a trained neuropsychiatrist. He has held directorships, professorships, and severed as a board member of numerous medical schools, institutions, and universities in Korea and Canada. In 1996, Dr. Oh earned his degree and license as a Doctor of Naturopathy from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Canada and subsequently helped establish the widespread practice of naturopathic and alternative medicine in Korea. Specifically, Dr. Oh focused his practice in aromatherapy, where coupled with his background in neuropsychiatry, pioneered the study and aromatherapeutic treatment of various mental and physical ailments.Over this distinguished career, Dr. Oh has authored fourteen books on aromatherapy and naturopathic medicine, and has published over fifty research papers in well-respected medical journals around the world.Presently, Dr. Oh is the President of the World Organization of Aromatherapy, Korea Association of Aromatherapy, and the Korea Society of Complementary and Alternative Medicine, and Clinical Professor at Kyung Hee Medical School and CHA Medical School in Seoul, South Korea. |

Harlalka is a partner in Nishant Aromas, based in Mumbai, which
he established in 1993. He is also Managing Director of Sankhubaba
International (Haridwar) and C G Herbals (Raipur). He graduated in chemical
engineering from UDCT (University of Mumbai) in 1981 and started his first
essential oil venture in Goa in 1983. Ramakant has been closely involved in
several F&F industry organisations. He represented India on several ISO
panels as a nominee of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), on which he is a
committee member. Other positions include, executive committee member of the
EOAI and FAFAI and Chairman of Technical Committee and Honourable Editor - FAFAI
(Fragrance and Flavor Association of India) for 2 years. He has been a
consultant to the Government of India and UNIDO; a member of the Research
Council for CIMAP (Central Institute of Medicinal & Aromatic Plants); on
the Governing Council of FFDC (Fragrance Flavour Development Centre, Kannauj) and
NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture & Rural Development); the Research

Prabodh Satyal, PhD is the Chief Scientific Officer of Aromatic Plant Research Center (APRC). He is originally from Nepal and moved to the United States to pursue research in essential oils at the University of Alabama, where he received his MS, PhD and post-doctoral studies in essential oil research. He has studied the chemical composition of more than thirty thousand essential oils from various parts of the world, has published more than a hundred research articles in peer-reviewed journals, and has been purity analyst (serving in several positions) for nearly ten years. He is an editorial member of several journals. Dr. S has a special interest in essential oil adulteration detection using marker-based analysis and has created the only known mass spectral library of synthetic markers. He has played a significant role in establishing several essential oil databases and has spoken at dozens of reputable international conferences. He also has research collaboration on worlds renowned several universities for EO research and currently supervising PhD, MPhil and Masters level student on their research. He is currently developing the first ever fully automated adulteration analysis software for GCMS that will identify the percentage of purity, origin, and mixed sources in essential oils. |
