As soon as I entered Pingxiang Nanzhai Mountain, Shenxiang Park, I saw the agarwood trees in the woods on the roadside. These precious agarwood trees are about 10 cm in diameter and a dozen meters high.

"This is the first batch planted in 2009, with 3,000 trees. It has been successfully tested and can be used to scent this fall." The owner of these agarwood trees, Lin Xinhui, chairman of Fujian Dafu Shenxiang Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. said.

The 500-acre Agarwood Park has planted more than 10,000 agarwood trees.

  Agarwood was successfully tested

“Agarwood is a new substance produced by agarwood under special conditions. It is a precious natural resource with scarce production.” Lin Xinhui said that after the accidental injury, the agarwood was infected with a special fungus that produced lesions at the same location for a long time. And finally form a fragrant knot, that is, agarwood. There are more than 500 species of agarwood in terms of origin, variety, and color.

Domestic agarwood production is small, and most of them need to be imported. The natural agarwood of domestic (Hainan) has been over-exploited, and the supply of agarwood in Indonesia is not enough for a few years.

Agarwood cultivation is difficult, and its core is the aroma technology. “Taiwan's agarwood cultivation technology is the world's leading. We introduce Taiwan's new technology of scenting and scenting bacteria. This technology can make the agarwood tree fragrant. Our successful planting experience proves that Pingtan is suitable for the growth of agarwood trees.”

At present, Pingtan is a large area that promotes the cultivation of agarwood, and has a planting base for agarwood in Junshan and other places. There are more than 30,000 agarwood trees on the island. It is understood that Pingtan wants to build the island of Aloes and use Aquilaria as a new business card for Pingtan.

"At present, the trade volume of the world's agarwood auction and its directly processed products amounts to more than 20 billion yuan, while China's agarwood is still mainly based on collections, and there is no complete agarwood industry chain. Aquilaria is an important material for processing all kinds of fragrant cultural products, which can be developed. Agarwood stationery, essential oils, soaps and other products. The success of agarwood cultivation makes the agarwood industry chain possible." Lin Xinhui is full of ambitions.

In the agarwood park, there is one of the largest private museums in China, with an area of more than 900 square meters divided into two exhibition halls. The first exhibition hall displays the agarwood of the seven main aprons in the world, the largest of which is 100 years old; the second exhibition hall displays more than 500 collections collected from all over the world. "I want to donate all these collections to add color to Pingtan's "Shenxiang Island" and use my life to learn to promote this cause." Lin Xinhui said.

  Blockbuster in the circle

In Beijing's agarwood collection, Lin Xinhui and Lin Baizhou are quite famous for their father and son. Lin Xinhui and Shen Xiang have been in contact for 20 years. They have visited the agarwood production area in Southeast Asia many times and have a deep research on agarwood. The son Lin Baizhou, who has been dyed since childhood, has a younger age but has his own unique views on the identification of agarwood and the culture of Xiangdao.

Lin Xinhui is engaged in foreign trade work. He has been transferred to Southeast Asian countries all the year round. In addition to his work, he has collected many antique works of art. The finest agarwood is produced in Southeast Asia. Every time he travels, he has to squeeze out time and exchange ideas with the famous agarwood collectors. I don't know how many times, he went deep into the sparsely populated islands of the jungle and walked over the mountains to get a piece of aloes boutique. Hard work pays off, through more than 20 years of painstaking research, he has gained more knowledge of agarwood, but also received many aloes boutique. Today, his agarwood collection is as many as a few tons.

When Lin Xinhui was just in contact with Shen Xiang, the circle was "thin and thin." Later, some people joined slowly to form a group that was fragrant and fragrant. At the earliest, everyone started from the understanding of Aquilaria, and later began to collect and play, and it took a long time. In 2005, Lin Xinhui's 300-square-meter exhibition hall could not sell a piece of agarwood in one year, so that Lin Xinhui had a feeling of high and low. In 2007, the agarwood market began to pick up. In the Beijing Gutianyi auction house, which was dominated by Wenfangzhen, the Shenxiang carving landscape character cup set a high price of 3.92 million yuan, and the average price per gram of agarwood was 12.25 million yuan.

Since then, the price of agarwood has soared, and more and more investors are eyeing this rare fragrance. According to industry statistics, in 2007, the output of agarwood was less than 20 to 25 kilograms. In 2008, the output was less than 10 kilograms. The entry of a large amount of investment funds pushed the price of agarwood to change. At present, the basic price of ordinary agarwood is about 3,000 yuan per gram, and the high-grade agarwood is 5,000 to 6,000 yuan per gram. In an auction in Vietnam in 2007, a piece of Vietnamese Bai Qi Nan Shen Xiang set a price of 10,200 US dollars per gram.

"In 2007, in the origin of agarwood, 1 kg of bird's nest for 10 kg of agarwood. By 2012, 1 kg of agarwood can be exchanged for 30 kg of bird's nest." Lin Xinhui said.

In October 2010, at the invitation of the Shanghai Collectors Association, Lin Xinhui and his son took hundreds of agarwood products to hold the “Agarwood Culture Collection Exhibition” in Shanghai, and their collections were all packaged and collected by a collector. Lin Xinhui, Lin Baizhou and his son also made a blockbuster in the circle.

Adhering to the culture of Xiangdao

Acacia's high investment efficiency attracted a lot of hot money, so there were a lot of fake agarwood in the collection market. “Fake agarwood is the most common place in antiques. More than 95% of the collections I have identified are fakes,” Lin said. Lin Baizhou is known as “Fujian Xiaolin” in the Beijing collection, and is highly appreciated by Ma Weidu. A Tibetan friend, under the recommendation of Ma Weidu, made a special trip to find Lin Baizhou to buy agarwood, and finally collected two pieces of agarwood products with great satisfaction. Taiwan's well-known movie star Zhang Ling and Lin Baizhou exchanged Xiangdao Xinde, and Lin Baizhou gave her a piece of agarwood. This piece of agarwood was later collected by Taiwan's famous incense shop "Fa Buzheng" as the treasure of the store's town store.

Lin Baizhou said that during the production process of fake agarwood, it is made by finely pulverizing and stirring the ordinary wood, then the color is adjusted by the dyeing agent, and then the special chemical additives are used to make the surface of the scent smooth and clean. The low-grade chemical flavors are fragrant and pleasant. Such scent products generally work hard on the packaging, and the beginners are the most vulnerable. There is also a high imitation product made from agarwood refined essential oil, which extracts the aromas of a plurality of agarwood, and uses a variety of techniques such as high-temperature cooking, high-pressure oil injection, and injection molding to add a common agarwood. Made into "high imitation goods."

The history of fragrant culture has a long history. It began in the pre-Qin Dynasty and grew up in the Han Dynasty. It flourished in the Tang and Song Dynasties. From the end of the 19th century to the first half of the 20th century, Chinese society was in turmoil, and the culture of the fragrance was subtle. The Asian countries and regions such as Japan passed on the ancient Chinese culture. In the context of the rise of China's economy, the culture of fragrant culture has shown signs of resurgence and is closely related to the prevalence of fragrant culture in Southeast Asian countries and regions such as Japan. Nowadays, the management, collection and fragrance of Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangzhou and Hainan are popular. Regrettably, the once interruption of the fragrant culture produced cultural faults, which also led to rampant products.

“Promoting the Xiangdao culture is more important than doing business.” Lin Baizhou said. Agarwood is an important carrier of incense culture. The extension of the fragrant culture is very rich, and the fragrance is only a form of fragrant culture. With agarwood as the main body, you can mix different products, such as agarwood powder, soap, essential oil, medicated diet and so on. The use of elegant incense by the civilian population is also an experience of the culture of incense.
